Character Name: Shadow Naoto
Character Canon: Persona 4 (OU)
Canon Point: Just prior to transforming into Sukuna-Hikona
History: Background on her original self and history of the Shadow itself
Personality: It seems outwardly that Shadow Naoto is the complete anti-thesis to everything her original stands for. She’s childish and fragile most of the time; she can flip her entire demeanor around on a dime! She can’t stand being alone, practically begging her “real” self to stay when the other turns to leave. She cries easily and readily expresses other emotions in a stark contrast to Naoto’s stoicism. Shadow Naoto is easily everything that Naoto has pushed aside in order to focus on becoming a detective. Her loneliness and other emotions, her interest in what she deems as “childish” (tokusatsu shows such as Featherman, for instance, which is reflected in the dungeon itself), those things are what makes the Shadow who she is.
… But Shadow Naoto isn’t just a fragile, weepy flower. At the drop of a hat, she can go from the childlike persona (ha) to a colder, crueler front, seeming more akin to a mad scientist. This part of her speaks eloquently, making impassioned accusations of Naoto’s true character. This is also the part of Shadow Naoto that decides that her original is in need of a “body alteration proceedure” (a sex change operation) for her to be taken seriously by her co-workers. Tying into the scientist-like persona (ha) is an almost insatiable curiosity, wanting to take apart all the things and dissect all the things and people and poke her nose into all the places she prooooobably shouldn’t, consequences be damned. … Here’s hoping that doesn’t get her into too much trouble, no?
Pokemon: Ralts! She keeps her hat and the glowing yellow eyes she has as a Shadow self. (... not that you can see the latter very well)
